The Legendary Alpine Lake Drakolimni
The legentary alpine drakolimni hike, starts from the village of Mikro Papigo in a wonderful forest. This is “alpine style” hiking as we ascent to the high medows of mt. Timfi and climb to the highest points of Zagori!
As soon as we reach Astraka’s mountain refuge, located at an altitude of 1950m we will enjoy a lunch and then continue our hike towards the mythical dragonlake. The north side of the lake offers breathtaking views of Smolikas mountain range and Aoos valley, where as the east side offers wonderful views of the northwest Gamilla peak.
