On arrival day we take it easy in order to acclimatize. Meet the guide and walk around Vitsa village.
Walking around Zagori villages and bridges
A beautiful circular hike where we get to know the area, learn about the history, nature and culture, hiking through picturesque villages and over historical arched bridges.
The Vikos gorge crossing
One of the trip natural highlights is the crossing of the Vikos gorge. Into this wilderness area we learn about some of the 1700+ different plants, the geology and the connection that man had with this place throughout the years.
From Vikos to Papigo village
A relatively easy going day, hiking down to the Voidomatis springs, and up to the scenic village of Papigo for the night.
The alpine lake Drakolimni
Climb up to the alpine meadows on mt. Timfi, where we get to see the impressive views from the lake Drakolimni at 2000m. Overnight stay in Astraka refuge.
Crossing mt. Timfi to Tsepelovo
A long and beautiful alpine walk that crosses the range of Timfi all the way to the village square in Tsepelovo, for a tasty meal after the long hike!
Up to Vradeto & Beloi view point
On this day we get to walk up high again to the meadows of the shepherds. The view point of Beloi where we stop to admire the Vikos gorge from above, and finally go down a stone built trail, the amazing steps of Vradeto.

A scrumptious breakfast while we enjoy the view from Elati village, sharing our best memories from the tour!
